CINDY XU (许心怡）
Cindy Xu is a Canadian actor, mover, and experimental theatermaker based in Vancouver/New York. She’s a recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Psychology. Cindy trained at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and at the Stonestreet Screen-Acting & Production Studio. She also studied abroad in Berlin, with NYU’s Stanislavski, Brecht, and Beyond: An Integrated Approach to Actor Training program. Her collaboration with world-renowned faculty from The Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Berlin University of the Arts, and the Schaubühne has informed much of her creative artistry. At the end of her training, she was awarded the Tisch Drama Departmental Honors for her original thesis in Theatre Studies. She has acted in award-winning films and onstage, Off-Broadway in New York City (AEA). As a producer, she also runs the artistic collective, Lighthouse Ladies, as a Co-Founder and Co-Producer of the theatre department.
